Rotating wheel allowing attachment of something to a line or strop such that the attachment point can slide up and down the line or strop. Pullies often using bearings. Sometimes referred to as a block.

Pullies are used in kite bridles

Pullies such as the Holt Allen HA1375 and Petzl climbing pullies are also used in captive harness systems, primarily for kite buggying.
