Line splicing

This is a way of making a loop in the end of a kite line without tying a knot or using sleeving, by using a splice. It does not lose any strength (compared to tying a knot) as it relies on friction similar to that in a [Chineese finger trap].

The line is basically passed back through its own central core using a Fid
